Friday 11th May Come & Try It 1 Scalby
5mThe first of the 5x5m TT series had a cool and blustery start. Nevertheless 11 riders showed up and well done to everyone. Also, a big thank you to the helpers! First timers Will Butterworth (age 12), Andrew Prole (age 12), Elliot Burnley (age 12) Joseph Prole (age 14) and Mum Helen Prole all did very well in the conditions. It will get easier next time - promise! Matty Dixon did a great ride to take the overall win and gold medal in the David Wilson Memorial juvenile points competition, despite having to contend with a late refuse collection wagon in the village of Scalby. The juvenile contenders had a 3-way tie on points which meant medals were decided by actual fastest times. Matty got the gold, Edward Burnley silver and Ozzy Stringer bronze.
