Hackness Hill Climb 5th October 208
With several members on holiday there was a disappointingly poor turnout. The rain and wind of the previous day had left the course wet and strewn with leaves. A very light wind was blowing down from the North.

Dunslow 5m TT, 19th August 2008
The last Paragon evening time trial of the year wasn't the washout it had promised to be all day. The rain stopped, the clouds parted, and it only started coming down again as we neared the finish.

Jim Simpson 25, 22nd July 2008
There were only six starters for some reason, on what was a pretty good night really. There was a westerly breeze, but though it was a bit niggly it wasn't that fierce and at least made for an easier ride back.
Dave Priestman was unlucky and punctured out at Yedingham and came back in Mick's car.

Irton 25m TT, 17th June 2008
A slightly depleted field for tonight's 25, probably due to the clash with the YCF event (?). Just five of us rode. Despite the overcast cloud that threatened rain, conditions were good, with a light wind (~10mph) in the SW that seemed to drop as the event went on.

Snainton 10m TT, 3rd Ken/Len 10th June 2008

Snainton 10m TT, 2nd Ken/Len, 27th May 2008
It was a bit of a damp night tonight. Not raining heavily, but it was that fine rain that soaks you through. Especially if you ride out in it.
So there were only six of us in the end. There was a stiff easterly breeze which didn't help but the times were down 30-60 sec across the board more due to the very wet corners, which everyone went round gingerly.

Brompton 10m TT, 13th May 2008
There was a breeze somewhere in the east, which meant it was harder than usual going out but easier coming back - probably about as good as it gets on this course, if you're going to have any wind at all, as it is kind of downhill from Brompton to Irton.

Snainton 10, 6th May (1st Ken/Len)
Good turnout for the first of the Ken/Len's tonight, with 14 riders. Must have been the good weather - sunny and cool, with only a light/medium easterly which made the final straight a bit hard but otherwise didn't really slow the event down.

Irton 25m TT 20th April 2008
It was a tougher ride on the 25 this Sunday: colder than last week with a strong (20mph-plus) east/north easterly wind blowing that made it very hard work on the way back. Especially if you were on fixed.
Carl's winning ride was a good one, given the conditions - would be close to the hour on a better day. Mike and Tommo's times were consistent with last week's, so were both better in real terms. Brian Ward and me both lost a chunk of time today.

Irton 25m TT 13th April 2008
With a few members off road racing today, just six of us turned out for the 25 at Irton. This was the Novice/Medium Gear event, although only Mike Potter was riding on a 72" gear. Conditions were good, with only a light NW breeze, but it was pretty cold. It looked like the sun might come through and warm us up, but it in fact got colder.
